It’s important that you read this entire page. The first part is from Frank, the part that follows is from the team.

I’m writing this note to those of you who have invited me to speak to your group.
In years past, I would travel several times a month, both in the USA as well as overseas, to speak to God’s people.
These speaking events included planting and/or visiting organic expressions of the church (the kind I wrote about in my earlier books on radical church restoration) as well as speaking engagements in traditional churches, seminaries, conferences, Bible colleges, and seminaries.
I’ve traveled far (sometimes overseas) just to speak to 30 people in a living room.
But in 2012, I had to make a dramatic shift. Because it’s increasingly difficult for me to travel, especially if it’s outside the state of Florida, I have only been able to accept a small number of speaking invitations per year.
Consequently, I must be very selective on which invitations I accept.
So there are two criterion for acceptance.
1. Maximum impact. I reach people all over the world every day through this blog and my two podcasts. So if I’m going to leave my home to travel, which is a huge sacrifice for me on many levels, the impact factor has to be large.
Therefore, I accept invitations in the USA to churches that have a regularly attending congregation of 200 or more adults (not counting children).
If the invitation is from outside the USA, it has to be 400 or more.
Given how enormous a sacrifice it is for me to travel, I no longer have the bandwidth to accept invitations to small audiences as I once did.
If the invitation is for a conference, we will need all the information, including who the other speakers are. (I no longer speak in conferences where I’m the sole speaker and the audience size is small. The exception is if it’s a seminary class or college chapel in the USA.)
2. The majority age. The majority of those who attend the church and/or conference must be below the age of 50. My heart and calling is for the next generation, specifically 20s, 30s, and 40s. (Churches and conferences that have a majority of people who are 50-years old and above aren’t a good fit given my present burden and calling.)
In short, if you are interested in having me speak at your conference, seminar, church, event, or school, go to our Events Speaking Page for how and where to send your invitation. (The page includes speaking samples as well.)
The rest is from the Deeper Journey Team and it will explain what to do if you aren’t a pastor or a conference host.
Blessings,
fv
From the Team – WHAT YOU CAN DO
A number of churches and conference hosts that fit the above criteria have invited Frank to speak because one of his readers intentionally reached out to them with a recommendation to invite him to speak.
Along with their recommendation, they included Frank’s Speaking Page, which has all the information for pastors and conference hosts to send him an invitation.
Therefore, if you live in a country where you don’t know any churches or conferences, you can research online any churches or conferences that have invited one of the following people to speak in the past: Leonard Sweet, Francis Chan, N.T. Wright, Scot McKnight, Matt Chandler, George Barna.
Frank has spoken with a number of these individuals in events over the years, so the audience would likely be a good fit for his ministry.
Finally – Booking Frank for an Organic Church Conference or Group
Because of his books from 2008 and 2009 on the organic expression of the church, sometimes Frank will still receive invitations to speak on this topic.
The focus of his recent books (all of them since 2010) have been on how to live by the indwelling life of Christ, how to recognize the Lord’s voice, the deeper Christian life, God’s eternal purpose, the riches and glories of the Lord Jesus Christ, spiritual power, dealing with trials and tribulations, spiritual transformation, and the explosive gospel of the kingdom (as well as themes related to the kingdom of God).
So those are the topics he speaks on currently.
However, there is one exception: if you host a conference and other speakers who are known for writing and speaking on the subject of the church are also speaking at the conference, in such cases, Frank will seriously consider being one of the speakers. It’s important that you explain who else has been invited to speak along with other details. Again, consult his Frank’s Speaking Page.
Regards,
– The Deeper Journey Team
