I have a couple quick updates for you:
First, here’s my reality. Today we are scrambling to get more copies of the book to all retail outlets, including Amazon. We’re printing more fast! I want you to know that if you ordered the book from Amazon and got a message from them asking you about canceling your order, please rest assured, you will get the book from Amazon in the coming days and weeks. The book is on its way! It may take a little longer due to the increased demand, but again, thank you again for your loyalty to Frank and to the message of this book. It is deeply appreciated.”
Second, If you have not yet ordered the book and want it quickly, you can still get the book today at BarnesandNoble.com, at FamilyChristian.com, and at other independent bookstores.
Finally, if you have not yet ordered the book, I encourage to go out and get a copy of this book, sit down with a cup of coffee, and soak in the message of God’s Favorite Place On Earth. This is a book that will live with you long after you’ve read it the first time.

Everything: An Interview with One of the Most Gifted Writers of Our Time
I ordered my copy from Amazon.com on May 1. Received it a few days later. Am in the process of reading it now. 🙂
My Amazon account is still saying expected delivery between 11 June and 7 July. Nothing about if I do nothing it will be cancelled. The reason for the long date is because I’m in the UK.
I am patient, I can wait 🙂
FYI – I ordered my book on the first day and still have not received it. Here is what Amazon.com sent me this morning:

Of course, I said I still want the book. :o) I received a message saying that they would continue to attempt to locate a copy.
I have a question regarding your choice of having a conversation with Michael Brown …

Family Christian now donates 100% of their profits to faith-based charities that serve widows and orphans. They’re a good company to buy from. That’s where I got my copy of God’s Favorite Place on Earth.

Amazon’s e-mail actually required me to confirm I still wanted the book. If I didn’t confirm, then the book order would “automatically” be canceled. Their wording was:

I thought they used a poor choice of words and communication. It’s not good for the book’s sales if it will be canceled just because I “do nothing.” Still looking forward to reading it and glad for Frank that it has been so well received.
Some items people require in a timely manner Frank, I think it is a valuable service for the consumer that Amazon is doing by giving you a month to respond before they cancel your order. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. Let’s not chastise them because the publisher hasn’t made enough books. Glad you are willing to wait, I’ve got mine… gloat gloat 🙂

I love to read physical books, but I sure do not like waiting for them. Thus I would love to add that th book is available in a Kindle version – no shortage, no waiting, less cash, no real paper.
If I ever have a publisher for the book I am writing, I would like to have somebody that takes the time to take such interest. Great to see.
