5 Shades of Jesus

Sneak Preview: I’m researching my next installment of the “Shocking Beliefs” series . . . and it’s going to be on the shocking beliefs of John Calvin. So stay tuned for it.

—

In 1 Corinthians 1, Paul calls Jesus Christ the Wisdom of God.

Jesus is the incarnation of wisdom.

In Ephesians 3, Paul uses the phrase, the manifold (which can be translated “many colored”) wisdom of God.

Jesus Christ, the embodiment of wisdom, is multi-colored.

That means that Christ reveals Himself in infinite variety, because His riches are “unsearchable” and His fullness cannot be exhausted.

The following images portray 5 different shades of Jesus as told by five different women who found Him in a unique way, each of them encountering a different “color” of Christ’s infinitely glorious nature.

I’d like to hear which one of these you find the most compelling and why.

By the way, the book from which these quotes were taken – The Day I Met Jesus: The Revealing Diaries of Five Women from the Gospels – is still on 50% discount and comes with exclusive bonuses from this website, but that offer ends after tomorrow – Tuesday, March 17th.

For me the last one is also the most gripping. Being accused and knowing your are indeed guilty… and then the words of freedom. “Neither do I condemn you… go and sin no more!” 😀

The woman with the issue of blood reflects most with what I am experiencing currently. I am being treated for stage 4 kidney cancer in my lungs. The doctors can do what they can, but I know that my cure and healing are in Christ’s hands. He is walking with me through every treatment and even in those times I feel alone.

Hi Frank. Mary of Bethany is Number 1. The sheer abandonment of love toward Jesus here is profound. The heart attitude to search out her most valued expensive possession and pour it on our Lord. I mean, fellow countryman Australians perform gracious acts at times which swell my heart with a nationalistic camaraderie. This lady, Mary, is my sister in Christ. Jesus, He is so humble. He rarely asks for much. Just, maybe a bit of gratitude from some lepers? Mary just swells Jesus heart here. Our God. We are His pleasure. He is ours. Words fail me actually. It was a beautiful act of worship.

All five reflect: As commanded, I am the salt and the light of the world – not of my own in my broken humanness, but as His gift – His gift to be given not retained – just as His love.
His gift of His love, of Himself, offered for all and given to those who choose – accepted in faith and belief – is reflected in all five! In His Name we reflect Him, for in His name I reflect the father through Him; light through Light from Light.
Taste and see my gift, His gift through Him through me. Here take for I have set it aside for you, to all you.

    Frank,
The last one, the adulterous woman. This picture of Jesus forgiving this woman is so alive and real. It is a so great revelation of our Lord.

Thank’s for this book, I expect to receive soon… here in Canada.
