Thanks Frank! Great article! I plan to pass this article to my friends and get their reactions. The odds are much increased that they will read it since it was published in a Christian magazine and does not have the word ‘pagan’ in the title. 🙂
I think this article can be a litmus test indicating how receptive one is to organic church. Thanks for all of your work.

That is so great they published your article! May many have ears to hear…

I love how much truth you were able to pack into on article. You are getting better and better at describing the ecclesia of God in a short space. And we need to touch on the discipleship issue — should they be ‘our’ disciples or the Lord’s disciples? We should always point them to HIM.

I would point out that some are helped and touched thru some of these ‘intensive discipleship programs’ not because of the ‘program’ or ‘accountablility’ but rather by the very ways they overlap with how a healthy local church should function–i.e. if they seek the Lord with others, care for one another, have times for sharing, observe others’ walk with the Lord, even live together. They get these things there that rarely happen in your local traditional congregation. So they really believe in them, but to me it just proves again that we need to get back to the original plan of God for the church.

Agreed, although a better title may be “Remembering Discipleship”

Keep it up! The Church must wake up, the Spirit of God is moving and either we will feel the gentle breeze and respond or be crushed by the mighty wind to follow!

What a great article. This says so much in only three pages! I could not agree more with the outlook of churchlife, the Christian life, and discipleship that this provides. Thank you!
